Food is Medicine.
I’m a mum of two, wife to one, a not-so-secret food lover, and let’s be honest more of a ‘trial and error’ gardener. I love to combine garden and food experiments and LOVE involving the kids – mine or yours. Care to join us on a food and cooking adventure?
My passion is cooking and providing healthy interesting meals for my family, but especially teaching young people the WHERE, WHAT, HOW and WHY of fresh, delicious and healthy food. In the kitchen we talk about things like … What is it? Where does it come from? How do you cook it? Shall we taste it? Let’s eat it!
Food is how my husband and I kindled our relationship. We started talking about food, then we ended up in the kitchen together, and, well, the rest is history.
Food is my creative outlet … it’s the first thing I think about in the morning, it’s what I love doing and for me food is about sharing, learning, adventures, friends, health and family. Why follow a recipe when you can be an artist!
Food is medicine for the body, mind and soul.
Food is a lifeskill that we as parents have to teach our children – not only how to cook and what goes into preparing a meal, but let’s teach our young ones to appreciate and enjoy food and the importance of family time and sharing a meal. If we can prepare it from scratch in this kitchen – we usually do.
Food and fitness – I’ve always said there are people who eat to walk and there are people who walk to eat . I’m the latter! I walk, jog, run, spin, lift or whatever so I can EAT. Fitness and food is another story for later…
